2014 Birthday (4) - Family Dinner @ The Ming Room, BSC

It's 11.17PM on a Saturday night, currently chilling in Little Bally with my #homiegurl, Jia Shin and while she sip on her long island tea, here I am typing away hahaha.  Finally, almost done with my birthday posts :)

(Lol this was me typing last night but didn't manage to finish my post!)
It was on the 15th July, my actual day after my hightea sesh :)

With my cutie popo posing away ~

Just me taking a selfie and the sunlight made such a natural effect! :p

Daddy brought us to The Ming Room @ BSC cos I've been wanting to try this place out and apparently my dad always makan here one but never bring me -_-

I've always loved Chinese Cuisine cos the table is ROUND hahahaa.
I don't always have a chance to have dinner together with my family so I love special occasions like this to have each other around :)

My brother's candid shots of me.
Not too bad huh? :p

My favorite person in the whole wide world.
I would trade anything in this life to keep her with me, forever..

Introducing my 18 y/o brother, Abel.
Many people don't know I have a younger brother, but a lot of people knows he has a sister LOL!

And my one and only super strict dad, that I'm always thankful for because he is the one person that taught me so many lessons through the hard way. :')

And again, my dearest popo.
She's the one that has been through all my tough time during my younger days.
I remember when I was 7, she had to walk me home from Subang Parade after my piano class because both my parents weren't free to fetch me.  It was an experience I will never forget.

Mini pot of "Buddha Jump over the Wall" RM180++
Daddy ordered this pot of goodness for me because he knows I never tried before (:

Some Foie Gras thingy that tasted heavenly!
It's RM35 for 1 portion.

"Yin Yang" Toufu that I've forgotten the price sorry! :O

Salted Prawn, my all time fav!

Garlic Vegs

Double portion of fish, lol im getting lazy at naming the dishes....

THIS WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY!
Some "Dong Po" Pork, so nyums :)

Happy meal :)

Happier people :))

It was a splendid dinner with the fam bam.

How I wish mommy was with us too, but I guess that day will hardly come true.
If I were to make one birthday wish all over again, is to wish I could have all of us sitting in the same table dining together, followed by a family portrait of 5 of us. :') #stillhoping

Went home after dinner to cut my birthday cake, only to realized I HAD TWO cakes!
Komugi bought by daddy, and Berries is from mom!

Hahaha kiasu parents are kiasu!

Obviously I had to cut dad's one cos dad was home with me! :P

Hehehehe.
Cutting my birthday cake at home while my silly popo photo-bomed me!

Overall, I had a wonderful time spent with my family.
Thank you Daddy for the dinner and cake,
Thank you popo for being there,
Thank you brother for being my photographer.

Officially 23 years of living under the same roof with these people, to many more years of growing together.
I want to give the best life to my family, let's not wait till it's too late when they're gone.
Always appreciate them by not taking each of them for granted. #notetoself

Till then,
xx

Morganfields on a Friday (with a lil birthday surprise!)

Just taking a break from all the birthday postings hehehe.
Wanted to blog about my dinner with family first but I thought why not do this post first lol I'm not even making sense!

It was a Friday noon!
I was putting on Ck's shades cos I didn't brought mine and I wanted to complete my "Mafia look" LOL  -__-

Followed this awesome #gempak people to lunch!

Ok let's give you a little bit of background, why do we call ourselves the "Gempak" gang?
Because gempak means more than awesome and yes we are all more awesome lah so we fit the title perfectly hahahaha!  NO IM JUST JOKING ok it was just a campaign name and so we started calling each other #gempaks lol.

Headed to Pavilion for Morganfields since everyone was craving for some pork ribs!

Our table :)

I've never tried this place but I've heard good reviews about this place.
Looking at the crowd on a Friday noon, not too bad huh?

Heh we are required to put this napkin on so cute lol.

Ok both of them cuter hahahaha.

Then our lenglui of the day arrived!
A much better picture of Pei Li, Nic and CK.

The super sampat girls in my weekdays life.
Michelle, but I prefer calling her FONING hahahah and Livian, my super lame neighbour.

Hehe too bad Foning wasn't in the picture if not picture purfect liao.
With Choo and Laura :)

Nachos
(I really wish I could be a better food blogger by writing the price down for you but sorry lah I can't find their menu online I tried ok)

Darren's Chicken Breast Caesar Salad

Nic's pick: Fried Mushroom!
Ok now that I'm typing mushroom I can't help but to laugh.. errr....

The Carnivore
It's BBQ Pork Ribs with Chicken thigh, and sausages, fries, muffin, corn and salads.

Ribs Sampler
A combination of Morganfield's signature pork ribs.
We picked Spicy Asian, BBQ spare ribs, and Garlicky BBQ spare ribs.
I think the portion can feed at least 6 person la.

Lol I like this shot.
According to Livian, you need alcohol to go with your ribs.

Haha we asked the waiter to help us with a photo but it turned out to be super outta place.
I wasn't satisfy lololol so yea...

.... We used self-timer! :P
But... wasn't too impressed also. hahahha

After everyone's done eating and snapping away, we were prepared to leave!
Then suddenly this came out!

...

They sang birthday songs and we had these!!
Super chio red velvet cupcakes for both me and Pei Li since we were both July babies :)

It's the little gesture that matters.
Thank you all especially Nic and Foning :')

I've known them for 3 months now, started talking maybe like what.. 2 months ago?
But I've always tell myself, it's not how long you've known that person that matters but the quality friendship that counts.

I like to count my blessings, it makes me happy.
It helps to keep my spirit alive and cheerful each day.
It's not that I have no problems but I just like to see things at a positive way :)

I thank God for placing these people in my life, although we might not have the chance to know each other better, but its the bond that I will treasure. Especially our #Gempaks :)

HEHEHHE

Till then,

2014 Birthday (3) - Grand Hyatt "High on Sugar" High-tea!

I'm still in the midst of compiling all my birthday celebrations photos before I can blog everything accordingly, so bare with me! Hehehe :p

It was on my actual birth-date itself and all I wanted to do was just rest at home since it was a public holiday but this sweetie of mine just nudge me and decided to bring me out for a birthday hightea!

Yi Mei, the always so cheerful and bubbly baby girl that I've known for many many years.
We used to dance together, joining competitions together back then when we were still in high school.
So proud of her that now she's making a living out from dancing (:

This lady insisted of going to Grand Hyatt and they only serve "High on Sugar" high-tea set one that day.  Which means we cannot order the Ala-carte menu, our fav signature chocolate caramel! :(
It was quite disappointing in the first place but we thought, why not just try on their high-tea sets since we were already there!

I've always been a loyal visitor of Grand Hyatt since day one.

Because I just love their spectacular view from above, even Marini's can't beat this place :)

Basically the whole place was filled with all sorts of desserts, from cakes...

to more cakes... and macarons, cookies...

... and scones!
I'm not really a scone person but the scones I had in Grand Hyatt really changed my perspective already.
They were SOOO good not even joking!

This really caught my attention.
I kept wondering what are these and apparently it's not juice/mock-tail, its Liquid Nitrogen drinks!
All different flavors has different ways of preparing it, so unique!

Unlimited Roast Beef Sandwish - something savoury for us cos everything else there is just SWEET.

All kinds of tea for your selection :)

Jasmine Silver White Tea - my pick :)

Both of us were so greedy we didn't know where to start!
So we literally took a little from here and there hahahaha

Macarons, sandwiches, scones, cakes, and the liquid nitrogen drinks!

They even serve us Dimsum too!

... and tea, and coffee.
Basically everything you see above, it's all included in the package of the "High On Sugar" high-tea sets.

I loved the Strawberry Liquid Nitrogen drink!

Yi Mei's pick!
It looks like a slice of chocolate cake right? Nope it's actually ice-cream I didn't try it but Yi Mei said it was delicious :)

Spending my birthday overlooking the KL city while having my favourite desserts, with good companion and sincere conversations; what more could I ask for? :)

The lights were so pretty it makes taking picture so much easier HEHHE.

Love this woman so much, thanks for the birthday treat Yi Mei!

If you're looking for any dancers to cover your events or wedding or even cooperate events.
Be sure to look for this young talented lady right there!

Overall, we had such a splendid afternoon just eating, chatting, and snapping all the way.

Everything you see above is included in the package, it's RM88++ per person but after including tax it will cost approximately RM110 per person.  I would say it's costly for the food but it is worth the experience :)
