2014 birthday (2) - Surprise at NeroVivo, KL!

It's 12.02AM on a Sunday and I have to be awake by 8AM tomorrow but here I am typing away because I have too many scheduled post to be up soon so let's not delay my most important blogpost of the year, hehe!

I remember it was Sunday (13th July), Tzia (my #annoyingbff) told me she will be bringing me, just the both of us since she had always failed to surprise me so she told me she rather just bring me out for a date kinda dinner, and I totally agreed to it!  In fact, I was more than happy because its been so long since I last had a quite time out just with her alone.   She picked me up around 730pm, and told me we were heading down town.  I was happy lah of course cos she seldom fetch me okay? -___-  I'm the one who's always her personal driver.  So indeed I felt special that night :')

She brought me to NeroVivo, Changkat.
I was so mesmerized by the beauty of that place thinking "wah this tziaaa not bad ah so romantic one hahaha" then once I enter the restaurant I was still busy looking around, and TA-DA!!

I saw a whole bunch of lovelies infront of the table holding a birthday cake while singing me a birthday song!

"SURPRISE!"

Hahaha, this bunch really caught me off guard this time.
People rarely can surprise me cos usually I'm always the organizer that comes out with all sorts of ideas when it comes to birthday surprises.  Really gotta give it up to my #annoyingbff and R for their excessive planning!  So, so, blessed :')

Posing with my birthday cake, look at those lovely candles!

What a beautiful set up by the restaurant :)

So happy I need to snap more pictures before the feeling goes away...

Honestly, I wasn't expecting any birthday surprise at all but coming from this silly #annoyingbff that always failed in surprises because she's so blur, makes this whole surprise much meaningful to me.

Thank YOU, especially R too.

Another year has passed, I'm officially 23 years old!

I wish for nothing but God's grace upon my life, leading me to the path He wants me to be.
I wish for my family's happiness and safety with good health,
I wish everyone around me to be granted with the desires of their hearts as well.

Some of my favourite girls!

Jia Shin, the one who has the kindness heart,

and Sally who has always been my baby sister!
(#annoyingbff no need say already la you can refer the picture above hahahah :p)

Leonard, my mentor in Christ and the one who was with me in my turning point in life,
R, the one and only person that I've accepted into my life previously,
and Jordan, hehe the always so kind-hearted one.

First groupie before the rest came!

A toast to myself!
Happy birthday to me :)

Thanks once again, Tziaaa and R for the effort of putting this together :)

Complimentary bread and olive oil.

The roasted potatoes was great as well.

Overall the food and ambience of the place was great! (Or was I just too happy that night? hehehe. Idk :p)

When everyone is done with eating, then its time for more selfies! :p

Then the whole photo taking session begins!
Me and my bby sister, Sally.
Always SO kind, SO selfless, definitely a keeper :)

Jiashin, my bestie since we were in our 15s,

we both been through SO much together, 9 years and counting :')

and this #annoyingbff of mine that needs no introduction,

thanks for ALWAYS being there, despite the good and bad times, your presence is already good enough to me :)

Last but not least, my big sister.

Rachel, that's always so generous to me.
She taught me so much during my younger days, and I'm so glad nothing changes our bond despite how our lifestyle has changed since our party times.  Thanks for growing up with me sis.

My girls of the night.
Not forgetting Suki and Kent that came all the way just to join us, the both of them that played a huge roll in my life previously; sincerely appreciate it!

Jiashin left earlier so she's not in the groupie :(
But here's to each and everyone of you, THANK YOU for making a point to come together, to spend unnecessary expensive food and wine, just to be a part of this whole surprise birthday party.  Words couldn't describe how thankful I am to have all of you.  Regardless of who was the mastermind, its the thought that matters, and I'm truly deeply grateful and happy :)

Went for another round of drinks in Pinchos since we were only a few steps away, had a chilling night chatting along.  At this place that brought back so much memories, the place where we first started hanging out, the place where we were together when you broke down.. oh how time flies ~

Although the night ended pretty badly, I was in a very bad shape, but I will not jot this down because I don't want to remember what happened.  In my mind, my 23rd birthday is still a beautiful one because of the effort and the thought that counts.  Still want to thank you, R;  for all that you've done for me.  It has been a great journey with you. :)

Always counting my blessings, always

Till then,
xx

2014 Birthday (1) - Zouk KL

Finally had the time to start blogging about my birthday celebration(s)!

It's been so long since I last dress up,
since I last put on a full make-up,
since I last head out to party especially going to a club!

But since it was my birthday... hahaha do it all!

It wasn't my actual birthday that night but me and Max (a friend that is only ONE day younger than me) decided to head to Zouk for fun since its been a long time all of us gathered together and just party.  I didn't ask everyone though cos I didn't want it to be like a "birthday party" kinda thing, so only a few of my closest girlfriends around town was there to join me :)

Birthdays are always such a good excuse to go out and have some crazy fun. LOL
But I guess as age goes by, the ideal birthday just isn't about FUN anymore.

Jiashin, myself and Rachel at the entrance.
We all wore black coincidentally!

Then Stephy and Tzia joined us!
(Girls in black.... hahahah)

I honestly don't remember the last time I went to Zouk, probably 1 year or 2 ago?
So we actually went in around 11PM and the whole place was empty!
Hahaha who goes to a club before 12???  I remember we used to enter clubs after 1AM last time -____-

So we took the opportunity to selfie!
The mandatory toilet-selfie with my homie

(I'm gonna spam this post with lots of useless vain photos reason being is because I want to keep these as a part of my 23rd birthday memories lah, so bare with me ok.)

This #annoyingbff that needs no introduction.
I don't know since when we started calling each other this name but I guess when we are both together, we really annoy the shit outta ourselves hahaha I guess this name is too relevant LOL.

My girls of the night

To be honest, we were taking picture nonstop the moment we were in.
Honestly I don't remember doing stuff like this as much back then in my younger party days, but I guess nowadays we are all so eaten up by the social media world we just have to capture the beauty of everything even though some of it might not be true. how sad right?

And I realized we don't drink hard liquor as much anymore.
We girls prefer our long island tea yo. :p
(Can you believe this? Drinking also need to take picture??? What kinda world we are in now man?)
(Yes I'm referring to myself as well -_-)

I'm happy that once in a while, we do gather together and party because now what we would prefer is definitely heading to a bar, just chill and talk to each other without the need of putting a whole KGs of powder on the face with 5 inches heels.  It's true that we all changed when times goes by..  Cant wait to hear from a 30 year old Adele soon. lol.

Honestly Im thankful because I didn't go wasted at all that night hahaha.
If its the younger days, I think I will be carried out by end of the night already.
I guess our mindset and maturity level isn't the same anymore, which is a good thing of course! :)

But one thing that I realized is the camera flash.
It's everywhere

Yes I admit we took lots of picture that night at our table but even when we were on our way to Velvet, or the washroom, camera flash were everywhere.  I don't remember the clubs last time being THIS way.
Its kinda sad knowing the fact that people nowadays dress up, go to a place be it anywhere, just to take pictures and post it up online instead of being IN that moment itself.

I guess sooner or later we all just forget to live in the moment as we are all so busy doing LIVE updates of our lives.  This is also a good reminder for myself that I won't want to be sucked up by the social media world till a point that I lost the uniqueness to enjoy every current moments. #notetoself

So happy to bumped into Karen and her bf too.

Hee I don't remember posing for this picture but I think it is post worthy la.

With Sim and Aaron, the 47500 gang. (ya subang people yo)

Of course Jess and Stephy along with Max, my ONE day younger brother hahaha.

This bunch is really ONE crazy bunch.
Haha I can't cope up with their level of energy anymore.

More pictures with Karen and Amanda :)

Club used to be a place where I see most of the familiar faces but now when I get to see someone I know, I feel accomplished cos I don't even head to clubs once a year hahaha.

Overall, it was a great night.
Although none of us went to the dance floor, none of us were wasted, it was still a good night.
But it was really exhausting

Reach home have to remove make-up, wash my hair before I sleep somemore!  Now I wonder how did I did that back then when I was 18?  I used to party so much it was scary. Lol you can just check out my old blogpost it was all about clubbings, no not proud but it was a part of my life that I couldn't go back anymore.  Good or bad, its all in my memory album. :)

Thank you R for being there with me as well.
Although he's outta my life now but I decided to post this picture cos its post worthy anyway.
Since he WAS part of the picture, back then. :)

If you were to ask me when's the next time I would consider going to a club, that would probably be someone's birthday or special occasions; normal days?  PLEASE DON'T.
Party one day, I need 2 days to rejuvenate. hahaha yes it is THAT bad.

2nd part of my celebration will be next :)

Till then,
xx

Are you a BEACH or a CITY person?

Currently in Pearl's house waiting for cell group to start, heh doing testimony challenge today so kinda nervous but yeah...

Anyway, just decided to do a quick post before the rest come because today I was so inspired to blog about this as we had a discussion on this topic earlier.  As my blog title says it all, "Are you a BEACH or a CITY person?"

I'm definitely a CITY person.
I love hectic lifestyles.
I love observing movements.
I love city lights, buildings and the culture.

Don't get me wrong, I do love beaches, sun and sea too!
Well look at this!
Its a picture of Maldives taken from google!
I would die to be there :D

But my point is, can you live on the beach like say a month? 2 months? or more?
Today my colleagues was just saying that they CAN live/stay on a beach, without wifi or phone line somemore. WOW, I truly cant.

I believe in self-healing and having solitude moment from time to time, probably 1-2 times in a year?
Cos we all need that okay if not forever hectic you be burned out and KO already.
But, living on a beach? Nay.... I will get bored if you put me in the beach for more than 1 week, lol.

NYC is my dream place to be.
I love cities, big big cities.
So I could just get lost in it and be a part of it, feeling it.

I also believe that there are seasons in each of our lives, and WE ONLY LIVE YOUNG ONCE.
Well you have your whole life to settle down and live in a slower pace, right right?  You can't put me in a beach for too long really, I will feel useless.
Haha I can't stay blank for too long, I love busy lifestyles; not all the time, but most of the time.

That's the reason why most of my friend sees me as a "social person/always-busy person".
The fact is not that I have super a lot of friends or agenda, the fact is that I LOVE UTILIZING EVERY MINUTE I HAVE.  I kinda have this mindset that "sleep is for the weak?"  Cos you won't know who you will be meeting out there the next minute, so we should explore the world more and more each day!

There will come a point in your life when you're older, probably late 20s?
When you have more commitments, your family needs you more than ever, you have to settle down in terms of career and plan for next stage of your finances?

By then, visiting these beautiful clear seas and enjoying your sun tanned would be awesome :)

For now, let me just YOLO and visit more and more cities.
Can't wait to visit London already. :D

I'm a CITY person, what about you?

Share with me okay!!
Just curious of how many of you are like me out there?
Hahaah!

Till then,
xx
