10 Reasons Why People Buy Fake Followers

So last night if you realized, Instagram has finally decided to remove some of the inactive accounts/spams accounts.

WHICH MEANS. We all have a drop of followers.
But the question is - how drastic is that drop?

And then the truth revealed!!

Ive seen some drop from 20 thousand followers till 4 thousands only. And some even drop up till 90%!! WHAT DO YOU THINK.

Honestly the first thing on my mind was wondering how these people feel and react when they first saw their followers numbers dropped so much - oops I mean when they saw the truth has reveled right in their faces yo.
And the worst thing is, just few hours after the whole deduction of followers, I saw some already started buying back followers!!! LIKE SERIOUSLY?!!

How would I know? Because so happen when I was doing my stalking, once I refresh on the same person's insta account and the followers are increasing by sequence! Like 2-4 new followers in every 10 seconds!?  Of course, if your follower base is already more than hundreds of thousand, it is normal to get followers every minute even seconds. But the few that I'm talking about - they had less than 5,000 followers! Initially were all above 15,000 please.

I personally had a 300 drop on my account which makes me having only 6,000 followers right now - so 5k or 6k we are all in the same ranged what!! Of course I would know it's impossible to have people following you every 10 seconds la!

So long story short, Im writing this down because Ive been asking myself, WHY WOULD PEOPLE EVEN BUY FOLLOWERS?! And these are some of the points I have in mind. Disclaimer ah, all are purely based my own view only.

1. They want fame
What are the odds? In this world we are living in right now, people judge you from your looks till your outfit to what bag are you carrying - now even till your social media platforms. More followers means? You're more "famous".

2. They need to show people online that they are famous, they need to prove a point
Which is link to my first point, but adding on - these people who bought followers specifically want fame ONLINE because its the easier way out! Some celebrities in Malaysia don't have much followers on social media either but they're famous offline.

3. To create illusion
So you start wondering who are these people? Why they have so many followers but you haven't heard of them? There you go, fallen into their game.

4. To get clients in social media deals
Which is already cheating!  This is the part which I can's stand the most. CHEATING. Cheating your clients and your agencies. I worked in a social media field and I know how this works. The more followers you have, the more payout you get simply because you're supposed to be more influential! But since the followers are FAKE, which means all the content are targeting ghost la

5. To make others who worked so hard earning each number looked stupid
I'm not a full time blogger nor I make money through my social media. However there are some people out there who worked so hard all these years building up good content, snapping editing nice pictures and sharing relevant information - but guess what? They mean nothing because someone out there could just throw a sum of money and ta-da!

6. To make money
.. the cheating way.  Which is linked to my point #4 More followers, more money.

7. To be able to categorized themselves with the more influential people
You see we all know how this cruel world works. Rich people mix together, smart people mix together, eventually, "famous" people do want to know each other as well. So they buy followers to make themselves looked famous so they can find their way to be around these real influential people - especially in events nowadays. Hah!

8. Because they're just too thicked face
Yea, I wonder what's running through their mind - especially last night! Panicked? Angry? Or what?

9. Because they thought people will never find out
Or they thought everyone else are stupid and foolish to even find out.

10. Or they don't even care if you find out at all
Yeap. That explains all.

I'm NOBODY to judge but I want to write this down to remember this -
In life, be truthful to yourself because there's only ONE you on this earth.
Trust me, WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN VALUES.

Yes followers do mean something but it is NOT everything.
Think about your reputation and integrity;
Especially if you're in this social media field.
Everyone knows what you're thinking.
Think twice.

 Till then,
xx

Venice (1) x First day upon arrival

In a glimpse of an eye, its the second week of December already!

Heh, I've always have love-hate relationship with December;
Love, because there's Christmas and Christmas means tons of celebrations, time to bless and be blessed with gifts and food;  Not so love because it also means splurging lots and lots of money hahaha, and it also kinda scares me all the time - as Dec means the end of one WHOLE year.  Have you finished what you've started?

Oh well.

One thing for sure, I know I'm definitely not done with my Europe Trip blogpost!!  There's just soooo many pictures and I don't want to skip any single bit of it, so I'm gonna continue with this most romantic place on earth, Venice, Italy

Venice, a city that floats -
There are no cars, bus or lorries; but just boats, water bus and speed boats.

We took a train early morning from Rome to Venice.
It was only a 3 hours ride.

I wish in Malaysia we have such convenient and cozy train too.

Heh typical snapping-whatever-was-outside-the-train-window-shot

TA-DA!
We arrived approximately 10.10AM in Venice and was greeted by this clear blue sky :)

Upon existed the train station, I could already smell the river...

Both Wan and I were already super hungry, and we don't even know how to get to our hotel as there wasn't any clear instruction and everywhere is connected!! with water and tiny little streets!  That's why they said it is a must to "Get Lost in Venice" hahaha.

Which we really did. Lol.

Stumbled across this real beautiful restaurant, so here we are :)

Spot my tiny fatty maroon luggage that never failed me all these while :')

Hi hottie why won't you look at me? :P

Started off with this on the house, but it was awful -_-
Malaysia's bread taste so much better!

This was Wanyee's pick - she said it is a must to try this squid ink pesto when you're in Venice!

Errr but I shall be a little more safe cos this is my first meal in Venice, I don't want to risk my tummy hahahah.

It was quite costly though because the rest of our meal wasn't as expensive as this first one we had.
Hmm not very omg-super-tasty too.

This is Piazza San Macro nearby St Mark Basilica, everyone was just enjoying the sun!

I really hated the sun but since Wan wanted the sun sooo badly, I had to join in lur what to do :(
#yescomplaining #wanyeeareyoureadingthis

If there's just one thing that I could share about Venice, (besides it is a water city) this place is a very S L O W moving city.  Venice is a place filled with many many old citizens and they're just enjoying life while doing things at their own pace.

Ordered a cup of flatwhite for myself, Americano for her.

To be honest, this is the only city that I felt sooooo relax, so calm, so slow...

In fact, too slow for my liking :(
But at that moment while we were just sitting there, enjoying our coffee and the sun while the cold breeze brush through your skin, it was undeniable relaxing.  One of the best feeling ever!

My best travel companion, ever so smart and thoughtful. :)

All these shots were taken when we were on our way back to our hotels.

IT TOOK US SOOOO LONG TO FIND THE PLACE WE BOOKED ONLINE BUT THIS MADE IS WORTH IT.

I love this place so freaking much, so pretty and cozy all we want to do is just lay down and not do anything at all.

We had to take water bus and ask them where is our hotel but most of them don't even know it T_T
It was one tough ride but thankfully we made it!
Also, if you are taking the water bus, no one will check your waterbus ticket at all hahaha we paid so many times but we realized there are many of them that don't even bother paying they just walk up to the water bus lol.

This place is filled with all  the small alley and every spot is just so nice for my #OOTD shots!

Look how small the alley is.
This city is filled with hundreds or not thousands of alley ok.

Evening market :)

Heh another shameless selfie!
Oh ya we also took the Gondola ride that cost us 80 euros (RM400+) which I will be blogging about next!

Till then,
xx

Milkcow Ice-cream in Midvalley

I really don't know is it a blogger thing or is it really normal feeling the peer pressure/desperate to try out something new (especially food/dessert related place) when I see tons of people posting up the same photo #socialmediaslave :O

So yea, as I mentioned - there's this newly opened Ice-cream stall/kiosk in Midvalley which gotten the whole world (well at least my whole instagram feed) raving about -

Milkcow, the best soft serve ice-cream lol.

Previously it was the whole coffee/cake culture but I guess lately ice-cream has also gotten in the picture yo!

First Inside Scoop, then Magnum, now this....

Apparently it is endorsed/ambassador-ed by this famous Korean star, Lee Min Ho.
Sorry not a fan of korean star at all so I have totally NO IDEA who this person is.

Nevertheless, I've tried this place!

Yes, indeed.
It was very sweet.

Ice-cream to be healthy?
Lol, can meh like that???

The big board menu upon ordering - spot Fons!

It is self-service and the crowd wasn't that bad - I'm not sure is it because it was a Monday or we just got lucky!

My pick - Milky Cube RM13
Natural Honey Comb

Livian's pick - Macau Dream RM11
Sweet Macaron Almond
*you get to choose your macaron flavors from Salted Caramel, Salted Popcord, Choco mint, Passionfruit*

The bill for 2 cups of Milkcow Ice-cream :)

Overall, I would say it is worth a try but I don't think I will come back anytime soon cos the Honeycomb is a little too sweet for my liking.  Thanks fons and livi for accompanying me after work! #thingswedowhenweareinmidvalley #desserthunt #okayhashtagdoesntworkonblog

Nevertheless, another dessert shop ticked! Hehe.
I can't wait to blog about my BKK trip next!

Till then,

Paris (1) x Arc De Triumph

Hihi I know many of you are asking about my Europe trip so I've decided to continue blogging about it, next up will be Paris!  If you followed me on Instagram you would know that Paris was one of my least favourite country among the rest.  I don't know is it because of the high expectation or is it because I was all alone during my first day -_-

Anyway so here it goes -

Took a plane (British Airways) from London to Paris which most of the people wouldn't, as it is more worth it to take a train - for scenery and money sake.

I wanted to arrive as soon as I can as I only had 2 days 1 night in Paris, lol.

I think I've visited too many airports within that 2 weeks of my life hah.

Typical plane-fie.
Travelling alone has been such a norm to me, haha #macamyes.

Touched down around 4PM local time (Paris is an hour faster than London), took a bus from the CDG Airport to the Arc De Triumph bus station as my hotel was just walking distance from the historical building.

Before I continue, I need to write this down so that I will not forget the feeling when I was alone in that bus.  It was such a long ride, I felt as if it was from Klang to KLIA then back to Klang again, no joke.  And everyone is Paris doesn't speak English (okay most of them don't) and they are plainly just rude and not helpful.  You have to understand that I've just departed from London and everyone in London was so nice T___T  So yea, I had culture shock when I arrive the Paris Airport.

Nevertheless, I made it.

I was so happy when I finally found our hotel(yes the room was booked for me and wanyee)!!

Hotel Mercure Paris is the name of this hotel if you're wondering.
I was all alone as Wanyee will only be arriving the next morning, so I quickly changed and head out as it was almost 6PM in the evening.

I was literally strolling around the alley from streets to street.
Many have told me to be careful with my belongings especially when you're in Paris!
So being the typical Malaysian, I held so close to my bag ahhahaa!  Better safe than sorry right?
My picture do look great don't they?  But some parts of the streets really doesn't look as good lol.

Oh did I mention that the weather was so hot?
It was approximately 25 degree Celsius and mind you, I was prepared for 10 degree and below!

TA-DAA!
The very famous Arc De Triump.
It was just 5 minutes walking distance from my hotel, and Champ Elysees was just one stretch away too.

It really didn't look very impressive but you know what, I will still take a selfie with it. hahaha

One thing you cannot deny is that the artwork is really finest to its detail, and this place was full with tourist la, why am I not surprise lol.

Sorry for the shameless selfies cos I was alone and I don't have a selfie stick and too shy to ask for rude Paris-ian for a picture.
The feeling of walking alone in a foreign country with no one understanding/trying to speak your language - it's just sad and tough.

Honestly at that moment I felt so lonely lol.
But thankfully I'm in the shopping street hehhee.

Nevertheless, the whole place is just so effortlessly beautiful. :')
The colors, the building... Hmm I wonder why wasn't I thick face enough to ask for some #OOTD shots hahaha.

Paris is really your shopping heaven.
All your branded stuff or not so branded stuff to even brands that you never heard of, they have it all.

Ok wait till I blog about the Galaries Lafayette (!!)

Why Malaysia don't have such beautiful street eyh?
Walking alongside this road make me feel like some actress acting in some HBO movie can.

But really, it's just picture worthy - people there don't even smile at you :(
or.. maybe it's just my face problem la...

One thing I like about Paris is that they have all this individual stores from Kenzo to LV to Chanel to Longchamp to Sephora to Mont Blant - not just atas-atas brand but mid-ranged brands, they're all across the road!

Enough of walking alone, wanted to take the train to other station but it was SO TOUGH trying to understand the route and the words!!! They were all in french!  And NO ONE bother to answer your question too!   *angers*

So I just went back to a restaurant nearby the hotel.
Settled down at Le GENERAL because they have wifi, lol.

One thing that I realized is that every restaurant they put you facing the road, like how you're sitted in the cinema facing the screen? This, you face the road.  EVERYONE DOES THAT lol I felt weird initially but I got over it, eventually.

Wasn't feeling too good after all the rude/cold faces hence I decided to go with this.
How bad could a burger be? Posted this up on Facebook and gotten comments like "who eats burger when you're paris?" - WHICH IS TRUE.

Maybe I was just having post London depression, haha.

If you spot clear enough, you can see people on my left are all sitted in a row, facing the road hahaha!
So everyone that pass by us are like a movie-show! -_-

Slowly, the sky turns blue.. and then black.

I was just sitting alone facing this view for almost an hour before I decided to go back to my hotel.
Honestly, I wouldn't say I kicked-start my first day in Paris super awesomely but I'm glad I enjoyed the alone time I had :)

Till the next Paris post,
which I got lost and almost lost my way back,

xx
