I was an MLM-er for 3 years.

Wow, can't believe I'm planning to write this all down today.

I was just randomly typing it out on my DAYRE yesterday, about how some of my past experiences molded me into how I am today.  To be honest, I was really a bit overwhelmed by the responses, didn't know so many are actually interested in this because I know to many, MLM is just another annoying con-man business in the market.

Lol.. I really don't know how to write this out.  Where should I start. I'm trying to reminisce all the past experiences and I'm feeling very heavy already fml.

Ok before I start, let's give you a little bit background about myself.
I didn't come from a very well to do family, in fact, I started working since I was 15 years old.  I've done all sorts of jobs from selling accessories and cloths in Sunway Pyramid to working promoter/usher/freelance until becoming an event agent when I was only 19.   For those who followed my blog back then while I was still actively blogging would definitely remember how much I blogged about my work life last time.

I remember I was still a student back then in Taylor's while working as an event agent all by my self. I was only 19 years old when I first joined this MLM business.

Why MLM you ask me?
To be honest, like many of you. I HATED MULTI LEVEL MARKETING.
It is like forcing people to pay a large amount on something that we don't even need.
It's annoying.
It's a SCAM.

Yes, that was the mindset I had.  But you can't deny the fact that many has succeeded as well. I've seen plenty. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT trying to sell you anything here. In fact, I'm no longer in MLM anymore but I want just want to share my two cents here, on my own platform.

What are the MLM-er selling to you?
They are not selling you the product, well they might be; but the real deal is they are selling you a dream, they're selling you a hope.  NO one can forces you into something that YOU DON'T WANT TO.
Most people hated the approach, hated the presentation, hated the person, hated the business.  It's hard to accept this but the fact is, at that very moment, you trusted that person that is why you paid X amount to join the MLM company.  When you didn't make it, you said it is a scam.  Why you didn't make it, I'll come to that after.

"Joining an MLM business is like buying a medicine/remedy for yourself when you have a terminal illness.  "

Here's a scenario:  You've heard people saying that the "medicine" worked and someone was healed after taking this "medicine".  But when you tried and it doesn't work, will you call that medicine/remedy a scam?  You probably would.  But the truth is, at that point what you bought home was HOPE. A hope that you thought it could heal your terminal illness.

THIS IS EXACTLY A METAPHOR THAT SUITS THE MLM BUSINESS.

I was in this MLM business for 3 years from 19-22 years old.
It was a good 3 years, a combination of heaven and hell.  And when I say heaven, it means the fruits that I bear, but when I say hell, it means all the pain and sacrifices I made.

I made it, and I won't lie. Out of thousands that joined, there might be just 1 that made it.
Not because it IS a scam, it is because IT TAKES A WHOLE LOT OF YOUR EFFORT AND LIFE to be make it. All those successful MLM-er that are on top have made huge sacrifices that you probably wouldn't know, in order to make the business their top priority, you have to give it ALL. It is really NOT easy at all.   It was painful, tiring but the fruit was there for your to bear.  The fruits is just there, It's all up to you.

This was the 1st month when I just started, and I was one of the "new member achiever".

I've mentioned in my DAYRE, I only graduated as a Diploma Student.
I chose to work, I chose to continue doing what I was doing.
Many would say it was a BAD decision, since I'm not doing MLM anymore right now but I NEVER REGRETTED A SINGLE BIT.

I have a very very strict dad. So strict that all he gave me was tough love.
But I appreciate all that he have done for me and to be honest, my dad wanted me to continue my studies in Australia; even myself, was anticipating student life abroad!

But still, I decided to work.
And until today, if I had a chance to choose all over again, I will still pick back the same road that I've went through.  Because I've gained SO MUCH experiences that no one could ever imagine.

From 19 to 20 years old, I managed to achieve more and here's a slide of myself that they always put up, before they invite me up for the sharing and motivational talk.

This was my phone bill every month, haha. I don't even remember how could one person uses that much amount of phone credit.

I made it as the top 5 achiever when I was 21 years old.

Hence the magazine feature.

Attended many talks and dinner,

Went on stage for many sharing sessions and motivational talks,

I even gotten myself a car when I was 21.
Which I have already SOLD OFF after I left the business.

Now this is what you want to know, why would I leave the business since I was doing well?
This was my face back then.
Haha this picture was included filters some more.
Can you imagine how bad my skin was?
I had a very terrible acne skin, it was painful and unbearable.

then when my skin was slightly better, I became this FAT.
Still fat now la but you get the point..

I left the business NOT because of my pimples and weight gained.
But this is something you must know, in order to be successful, you go all the way out.

I was working from 8AM till 3AM most of the days. Yes not everyday but most of the days.
I would get scolding from my up-line every single moment if I hadn't complete my task.
I don't blame my upper-line because it is all for my own good, I earn the money as well.

But to be honest, I burned out.
I lost the meaning of life.
All I had was just the thought of gaining more wealth and success, and I will admit it, loudly and bravely, I LOST MYSELF ALONG THE WAY.

My priority was NOTHING but the business.
My priority was NOTHING but achievements.

and the truth was, I wasn't happy at all.

Please don't take this wrongly.
NOT all MLMs are the same.  I've seen some MLM leaders that cope really well between their families and friends, like my up-up-upper line, he juggled so well and I was ashamed of myself.

But I believe everything happened for a reason, year 2013 was the year I went back to church.
Like a lost kid that finally found her way back home to her Father.
I now understand the meaning of life, and I know what I want to achieve in my life on this earth.
All the wealth in the business doesn't give me motivation to move on anymore and this is exactly why I left my MLM business.

But one thing for sure, the whole journey of MLM business has taught me SO MUCH that money can't buy.  Words can't express how thankful I am for this 3 years journey.  It was filled with so much pain and loves.  And until the day I die, I wouldn't forget all the lessons that I've learnt, because it is all these that contributed to who I am today.

For now, I'm just an employee working under a company.  Does that mean I lost all my dreams and vision? Nope. It just means I clearly know what I want to achieve, at this very point of my life, and all this glory goes to my Father above.

I want to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone that I've hurt in anyways previously. I wish for the best for any of you that is reading here. You know who you are.

Last but not least,
Will I join anymore MLM business in the future?
I can't be certain of anything since I'm only 24 this year, but for now, definitely NO. Why?  Because as I mentioned earlier, I know what I want at this point of my life :)

Till then,
xx

Alcatel One Touch - Selfie time!

If you don’t already know, I love taking selfies, especially selfies with people I love – which make it a #wefie hahaha :P I guess nowadays instead of just spending time with your friends and loved ones, taking pictures together is part of capturing the fun/beautiful moment as well.

I never get tired of taking selfies or wefies and I would really consider myself as one serious selfie lover lol. Most of the time I use my camera but sometimes it’s really troublesome especially when you’re going to attend a wedding dinner or even parties cos all I bring is a clutch and my camera can’t fit!

I’ve always looking for an alternative to take nice selfies until lately I’ve heard about this new French brand smart phone that is the top 10 best-selling smartphone brand – Alcatel Onetouch! They have really reasonable priced phone with strong features and they have been working with reputable brands such as Orange and Vodafone!

You know what’s the best part about it?
They have this new Alcatel Onetouch Flash phone which is 5.5 inches HD screen and also 5MP HD Front camera with 13MP Full HD Back Camera!! Lol my favourite feature is the front camera has this beauty enhancer mode somemore lol no need to use meituxiuxiu anymore la ahaha.

Lately they’ve launched this #BEaFlasher campaign to embrace the whole selfie culture!

One thing you should know is that this is more than just a good selfie phone, it is also a fashion accessory with its premium design with HYDRASKIN!
You can watch more about this phone here: http://youtu.be/neiQ2FzQO48

Don’t forget to also check out more about this awesome deal on their website: alcatelonetouchflash.com/my

I mentioned that FLASH also bundle with FREE flip cover and screen crack warranty? Now you know lol.

Till then,
xx

8 Reasons To Be Thankful in Year 2014 ❤

Hello everyone :)
First of all, Happy New Year!

It's the 3rd of Jan 2015 already, which makes me another year older.  Can't believe I'm approaching 24 by this July :O  The thought of it scares me but I know there's nothing I can do about it - all I can do on my part is to utilize every single day and live out the best version of my life.

Just came back from Tokyo and flying off in two days time, so I told myself I must not waste a single moment anymore because I must do a recap of my 2014!   To be honest, I didn't know what to write on this blogpost but I really have to thank Social Media and my Camera Roll - was scrolling through my Instagram Feed and Photo Album, only to realized I've done so much this year!  :')  Indeed, 2014 is a fabulous year for myself, didn't realized I've accomplished this much - and hopefully much more to come this 2015 :)  I have so many things to be thankful for so here's the 8 more important ones for my personal reminder!

-
(1) Firstly, I thank God for the chance of being able to travel around!
2014 was indeed a year that I've traveled to the most places (lol because I didn't have the opportunity to do so in the earlier years due to my previous job)

1. Went to Singapore earlier of the year to spend some quality time with my cousins!
Tried the infamous Max Brenner in VivoCity :)

2. Went to Sabah for work purposes but so thankful for the chance to visit the Sunset Bar and witnessed one of the most beautiful sunset ever!

3. Got a 2D1N short trip to Sepang
Indeed it was a good solitude moment for myself before entering the second quarter of 2014  (:

4. Traveled to Langkawi for a short beach getaway around April 14' (:

5. Definitely HIGHLIGHT of my year - Traveled ALONE all the way to London to meet my highschool sweethearts(⌒▽⌒)

6. Followed by touring Europe (Paris, Rome, Venice, Munich) with my fav. girls in the world - Wan and Sher
London has always, always been my DREAM place and it was in my resolution in 2014 as well.
So grateful to God that I'm able to tick this off my bucket list.  Traveled for 14 hours alone to my dream country for the very first time.  What an experience! Really love it!

7. Got my flight to Bangkok for FREE!
All thanks to Sally for inviting me along, so I decided to pay for the accommodation instead.
It was such a great short trip with my younger sis - Yes Sally is like my one and only younger sis that I treasure a lot :')

8. Last but not least... Tokyo, Japan!
It was such a last minute trip to Tokyo with my dad - yes my very strict and fierce daddy hahaha.
Had the chance to celebrate New Years in Japan too! #SOGRATEFUL
-
(2) Secondly, I thank God for open doors in terms of career opportunities!
1. Started my freelance business earlier of the year.
Here's a picture with Doris :)

2. Did sound recording with Alicia.

3.  Conducted a Photoshoot with Elecher.

5.  Got to learn a lot about electrical and ground work stuff in my previous job.
Thankful for the flexibility I had in my previous job.
Thankful for the humble bosses I met in the previous field :)

6. Why previous because I got offered a new job in May 2014.
Currently working in my preferred industry, and I'm very grateful because I've been learning so much about this industry.  Also gotten a promotion at the end of the year (Dec 2014).
What more could I ask for? :)

I thank God for always opening doors for me and constantly increasing my capabilities and stretching my faith - But I never forget the most important thing, which is the condition of our HEART.
God sees your heart, not what you've achieved in terms of earthly goals.
I believe God will use me and my influence to do great works for the Kingdom of God, in this area that He has placed me.

-
(3) Thirdly, I thank God for the genuine/precious friendship that I am able to maintain; also having the chance to catch up with many of them old friends, not forgetting a lot of new ones that I've made!

1. Got a successful surprise birthday party with my favourite people, organized by my one and only #annoyingbff and R
Finally a successful surprise for myself cos I've always been "too smart" hahaha

2. Thankful for the chance to meet so many pretty bloggers/influencers that I'm able to call friends now :)

3. Met this bunch of hilarious #Gempaks which I consider them a part of my life now :)

4.  Had the chance to know more happy faces that I've been seeing around in office probably more than my family members lol.

5.  Had the privilege to meet my primary school mates
(which I have not seen in 10 years or more!?)

6.  Thankful for the chance of being able to catch up, and to know more about my new/long lost friends which now I consider them more than just normal friends :)

7.  Even more grateful because I got to maintain, and even gotten closer to all my precious babygirls and sisters.

-
(4) Forth, I thank God for the chance of being in the entertainment industry and to witness many celebrations in year 2014.

1. Acted in my first ever YouTube Video with Dankhooproductions and also featuring Jiashin and Reuben Kang.  Such a great experience :)

2.  Heineken Sundown Party with the lovely Choo, Darren, Fons and all the pretty people :)

3. Us at the Make It Black by Johnny Walker party!

There's actually more birthdays and events but I think I shall stop here before it starts flooding up my blogpost!
So happy to be witnessing all the happiness through these celebrations!
Very thankful I want to cry T_T
-
(5) Fifth: HIGHLIGHT OF 2014 - DID MY VERY FIRST AESTHETICS TREATMENT(S) (lol)
1. Yes, got my double eye-lid stitched and also injected fillers into my nose!
(you can read about my eyes HERE and nose HERE

2.  Also did my very first Laser treatment and Hydraquence treatment for my skin.

3.  Hahaha also first time doing some body slimming treatment  (which I will blog about it very soon hehehe)

(6) Thank God for blessings in terms of some material goods :)

1.  Got my dream Chanel Purse as a birthday gift in my 23rd birthday.

2.  Rewarded myself after working so hard the whole year, with a bag that I've always wanted.
Red Micro Celine :)

3.  Got a Hermes Fragrance during my trip in Paris teehee.

-
(7) Seventh, I thank God for the opportunity to serve and grow in my church, CHCKL.

1.  I have never served in big production as Media Crew before, and I did in 2014 as one of the camera crew during Chromeheart Origins

I've learned so much throughout this short period of time.
Every night rehearsals helped me to build a much closer relationship with the rest of the crews.
I've also seen how others make time despite their busy schedule just to serve the Kingdom of God.  Not forgetting to witness the generosity of my leaders!
It was indeed a very much hectic but worth it season of my life :)

2.  Grew much closer and witness the growth in CHCKL Social Media Team.
I have to admit I have the most dedicated mentor ever!
Anna Leong is one of the most hardworking person I've ever seen and she constantly inspires me to serve God with nothing but our best!  Very blessed to be in this team :)

3.  Being a part of the Arise and Build and A Thousand Portion in CHCKL.
I wanted to do a separated blogpost about this but let's put this in short:
I've witness and experienced God's goodness and faithfulness in my life throughout these 2 years in church.  Through my giving and tithes, God never once shortchanged me.

I constantly remind myself, Giving is a part of worship.
God doesn't need our money, what God wants is our heart and faithfulness.
Giving to the Kingdom of God only proves how much we trust Him with our finances and this season, I know God wants to stretch me and use me completely - because greater things are about to happen! Praise The Lord! :)

4.  Thankful for this bunch of amazing parent CG - D20!
Each of them are an inspiration to me, especially my mama Pastor Shirley and sis Jan (。♥‿♥。)

5.  We have officially became a Cell Group - D9!
I've been with my mentor, Leonard from the start;  with only 5 of us 3 years back, we have grown into a total of 14 members as of last year (2014).

I believe that God has a specific plan and reason of putting all of us together, with the combined influence we have, to reach out to many many souls in the marketplace.  So thankful to be a part of this amazing church family of mine (:

6.  Ended our year with CHCKL x Candlelight service in church with my amazing CG members and Pastor Shirley!
Wouldn't trade them for anything else :')
-
(8) Last but not least, I thank God for my family.

Momma and me :)

Popo, Brother and Daddy.

I know I seldom talk about my family but for people who knows me, they know what's going on.
I'm just very grateful for their good health and I pray that all of them will continue to stay healthy and happy.  Got closer with my dad personally this year, praying for revival in my family.  I know God have everything in control.  My Father above knows it best :)

-

That's all I have for now :)
除了感恩,还是感恩。

今年的却过的非常充实,但是永远提醒自己 - 不要忘了在这世界上真正的理由。

一切感恩于主,荣耀归给神。
This is the end of my recap of year 2014
Will be blogging about my New Years Resolution and travels post next, so stay tuned!

Cheers to a better and greater year ahead,
xx

I AM READY 2015, BRING IT ON!
:)
