My one and only dearest popo

Look at the veins, the crumple skin, and that ring of hers...
Can you feel the pain?
Can you imagine how much pain she had been through the past 85 years... ?

She walked it all, walk it through with her pair of legs...
Till today, she is still walking it through...

My one and only dearest popo -
She is 85 this year, yet she still has to look after me and my brother.
Honestly, for someone like her age, usually they can't really walk or move properly already.
But my popo is the extraordinary one!!
She goes to the field every morning, she has her friends to "yumcha" (have tea) with, she'll head to the market, then she will walk home herself, EVERYDAY -
the same routine, since 19 years ago.

She is our family's backbone,
she is the one that cares for me,
show me her love
&tell me her thoughts all the time.

Words can't describe how much I love her.
In my whole life, my memories about my family are all revolving my popo only.
No I'm not upset, I'm glad because I have such a strong and positive popo to guide me in my life!

She doesn't like to take picture.
She'll go like "Aiya I'm so ugly skin also so crumple already take for what la.. aiyoh"
Haha, but she's so cute she makes me smile everyday :)

I really wanna hold my popo's hand until the day I get married.
I don't wanna let her go.
I want her in my life.
I need her to be with me.

But she is old already, that day will come.
All I can do is just hoping that the day will never come so soon.
IF I have a chance,
I would rather live 10 years lesser in order to let my popo live 10 years longer.

My popo is the greatest gift of all!
Thank you Lord for this wonderful gift.
I'm so glad because I have popo with me.

I'll be successful as soon as I can,
because I want popo to witness her granddaughter being successful!
I know she will be proud of me, she will.

Although I know she won't be reading this, but... well, I just hope she knows I love her a lot, and I would like to apologize for all that I've did that makes her upset.

I really love her, I want her to be with me forever.
Please?

Hi Adele,

That makes us so cool as Asians. We naturally spend more time with our families :) I think I live on with a purpose for my parents sometimes if nobody else :)

Glad to see the love spilled-out all over your face and your grandmas :)

bty, i was recently invited to the taylor's lakeside event for the lantern festival but couldn't make it, Were you one ofthe organisers on fb? :)

Cheers!
