Bangkok day 1

I actually scheduled this bangkok post for a week already but didn't have the time to publish it.  I used to feel upset when I see my blog stats dropping but I guess as time goes by, blogging has became a part of me and it is not an obligation to anyone.  This blog, to me, this is a place where I want to document my life moments before I forget them - which I really regretted for the past 3 years that I stopped blogging because now, I could hardly remember the details throughout the past years.

Recently I have a lot in mind - thinking about my roads ahead, writing down my core values, basically just identifying my priorities in life.  The old saying is true, when you grow up, grow old, everything that you want/need changes accordingly.

I am proud to say, I am changing, day by day.

Its good to constantly think, it helps to function your braincells all the time.

The higher you climb, the more you realized how small you are.
Never waste time on short term gain, invest on building a better version of yourself - for your future.

Today was more like a chilling day for me so I decided to go through my old blog post, and WOW.  I was reminded by how passionate I was for blogging back then.  Most importantly, I really enjoyed reading my past events through the blogpost - it sort of refreshed my memory :)  I must continue documenting my life events because I want to remember all the little details in my life, xx.

I haven't been traveling at all for the past few years so I'm glad I made this trip to bangkok with my sister, Rachel.  It was really a spontaneous one as none of us planned this but it just happened in split seconds after a few phone calls.  Initially, it was Tzia thats planning to go to Bangkok with her family and I just randomly checked the flight ticket and surprisingly it was mad cheap - picked up the phone - called Rach - TA DA!!

Here we are, preparing to fly ~

Both of us were really excited as it is our first flight together and also we were there for a mission. hahaha.  YES we were in Bangkok purely for shopping. nothing else lol.

Arrived at Don Muang airport at night.

It was already half past 10 so we decided to just hop on to somewhere nearby for some drinks and music

Definitely love TUK-TUKSS!!

This is the Tuk Tuk driver that brought us nearby for some Phat Thai and some chicken rice.
It was just normal.

The worst part is this, the Tuk Tuk driver insists to bringing us to the tiger show nearby - it cost us 600baht - which I regretted so, so bad.  I do not know how to explain it here through words but basically tiger show is really disgusting.  The girls were using their private parts to show their talent.  I can see it through their eyes, they were upset it is just a job to them.  They just wanted the money....  It hurts me seeing the girls doing things like this to earn a living, or to survive.  It reminded me how lucky am I to live a normal life.

The world needs more love.
No one is too small to do anything big.
Constantly be a blessing to others. #selfreminder

Bangkok day 2 on the next post!

Acme Coffee & Bar // The Good Batch // NOSH // Yeast Boulangerie // The Lobby Lounge, Ritz Carlton

To love is to give, To give is to love...
Give doesn't just mean by giving materials things but it also means giving time, giving attention to the ones you love.
To me, I love spending time with people because it makes me feel appreciated as Time is something you can't buy despite how much money you have.  I remember reading this in #thepurposedrivenlife,

"when you give someone your time, you're giving them a portion of your life that you can never have it back."
Isnt it amazing? :)

I also love exploring new places especially places with good food and good ambience.  It helps to create a room for good conversations.  To be honest I can't do this everyday because a meal in these places cost quite a bit, but I believe everyone has their own way to pamper themselves and for me, enjoying good food makes me happier than shopping.  (:

1.  Acme Coffee & Bar
The Troika, Jalan Binjai, Kuala Lumpur
03-2162 2288

I'm pretty in love with off shoulder tops these days (:

I love how the whole place is covered by glass it makes me feel like I'm in overseas for that moment, having breakfast in some tropical island.

#BffWeeklyBreakfastDate #1
Yes, I just created that hashtag and the whole weekly breakfast thing because that woman in red is just too busy with her work these days.  We don't even get to meet each other during weekdays :/

Pear x Buckwheat Pancake
Officially our favourite pancake in malaysia hahahaha

ABC Breakfast Club that tasted usual.

Flat White that obviously ordered by tziaaa.

Overall the food and restaurant ambience was good but the service was bad.  The food took almost 30 minutes to arrived and the waiter/waitress was too busy to attend to us.

2.  The Good Batch
53, Jalan SS 21/1A, Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya.
(Same row with +Wondermilk)

Im so proud of myself for discovering this new place because they serve good unique breakfast!

Latte that is obviously not mine, again.

This woman have her #dailycoffee partner too bad I don't really take caffeine but its okay, our breakfast date is going quite well so far this is our second #BffWeeklyBreakfastDate #2 already LOL.

They have simple deco's around the place but don't expect too much from a small shop lot in uptown.
The ambience was just normal so you won't actually want to stay that long in this place.

Norwegian
Basically its just eggs benedict, not too bad but I still prefer The Red Bean Bag's...

Parisiene
This is fairly good. French toast stacked with turkey ham and bacon top with sunny side up.
Quite unique :p

To more and more breakfast date to come.

3.  NOSH
7, Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur
(right beside Dip & Dip)
03- 2201 3548

I always pass by this place but didn't bother to try out because the place looks... less attractive.

Its her belated birthday treat from me and she wanted to try out their 'Valrhona Heaven' which looks like this....

... that costs RM34.
Dark Chocolate Ice-Cream with Chocolate Volcano and a Chocolate tart.
Honestly I think it is too sweet but it seems like Hui Bin loves it a lot so yeah.. Maybe you should go and try it out yourself.

Piccolo Latte

陪我度过中学生涯的知己
Friends since 13 years old, which means its already a 10 years friendship and still counting!
Happy Belated Birthday Hui Bin please do keep in touch with me more often (:

4.  Yeast Boulangerie
24G, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
(Next to Antipodean)
03- 2282 0118

I usually wont eat croissant but this almond croissant is really good.

The menu are all in french so we were literally reading the description only lol.
Sorry to say but I don't rmb what dish was this its some baked eggs I think.

Soft Baked Eggs with Smoked Duck
This is yummy!!

Apple french toast
Nay.. I don't really like how bread and apple are put together but the girls loved it T_T
Am I weird or what...

My pick!
Eggs Benedict
Sorry 本人保守一点 must stick to the same dish rather than eating something I don't like.
The bread was reeeaaaally good tho.

This series of pictures taken at Yeast was months ago before my girls left Malaysia T__T
It was a post birthday celebration for Wan.
This is the ONLY (horrible)picture taken by the waiter because we were busy talking to one another.  Looking at this pic makes me MISS MY GIRLS ALREADY :'(

5.  The Lobby Lounge, Ritz Carlton
168 Jalan Imbi, Pudu, Kuala Lumpur.
03- 2142 8000

Don't you just love this place?  I fell in love the moment I stepped in...

So cosy you can literally sleep...
I really really really love the whole british vintage setting!

See what I meant about vintage? :)

Their service is TOP NOTCH.
Here's a picture of the waitress explaining the varieties of teas for us to pick.
Honestly I wasn't paying too much of attention.. :p

This time round is with my long lost loupo (:
I used to see her so often back then, we spent so many years of Christmas and NYE together. Although we don't get to spend as much time now but I'm glad we still make time to catch up for one another.

The lighter color tea is jasmine/green tea (they have a name for it but I don't rmb) //
The darker color tea is some flower tea that also comes with a name that I can't pronouce. LOL

RM75++ for one set that consist of scones, pies, sandwiches, cakes and puddings.
Very filling we didn't even finish the whole thing.

I've been to a few places for high tea and I really think The Lobby Lounge is one of the best place among all.  Will definitely come back to this place (:

9 years loupo in my heart.

Can't wait to upload my next post already! :)

What is your dream?

I actually have a few blog post pending to be posted but today I just feel the need to write this down on my blog to remind myself in the future.

Dreams

What is your dream? What are your dreams? or maybe, what can you consider as a dream? When I mention the word 'DREAM' what comes into your mind?  To do what you love?  To be able to fulfill your passion? To be a billionaire? To leave a legacy?

According to John C. Maxwell(Source: http://www.success.com/article/what-is-your-dream), there are many wrong identified dreams which are:

1. Daydreams - Distractions from current work
2. Pie-in-the-Sky Dreams - Wild ideas with no strategy or basis in reality
3. Bad Dreams - Worries that breed fear and paralysis
4. Idealistic Dreams - The way the world would be if YOU were in charge
5. Romantic Dreams - Belief that some person will make you happy
6. Career Dreams - Belief that career success will make you happy
7. Destination Dreams - Belief that a position, title or award will make you happy
8. Material Dreams - Belief that wealth or possessions will make you happy

You must be thinking, WHAT?  According to John C, these arent good dreams? Yes bcos -

Good dreams must be the valid ones worthy of a person's life.
A dream is an inspiring picture of the future that energizes your mind, will and emotions, empowering you to do EVERYTHING YOU CAN to achieve it.

Honestly, Im one of those that somehow lost my dream along the way...
Ive been thinking the whole noon - and its true to ask yourself these questions.  It helps to identify and strengthen your dreams.

1. What are your core values?
What are the values you keep as your life motto? What are the values you belief and you placed it at the centre of your life?  What truly makes you happy? What gives you satisfaction? What makes you angry? What makes you upset? What makes you disappointed? Where is your border line? What are your limits?  I've been asking myself and writing down a list of answers... but this doesn't immediately help to discover your dream isnt it?

2. What are your talents and gift do you think you have? (//spiritual gifts)
What are the things that you enjoy doing?  What gives you enthusiasm even without the need of others pushing you?  Is there a certain feeling that you feel more than others do?  What gives you satisfaction?  Is it when you help someone in need? Or is it when you accomplished something big? Think. It is important to understand yourself because if you yourself don't, who else will?  Remember, no one knows your God gifted talent better than yourself.

3. What are the past experiences (be it good or the bad) that will help you in your future road ahead?
From your family, relationships, studies, career, what are the things you will never forget for the rest of your lives?  That impacted you the most?  Do you think your experience can help others? If yes, who? If yes, when? If yes, how? If yes, are you ready?

I used to think dreams are all about money

When you have money, you can buy love for your family. You bring them overseas, you spent good times with them at the most luxury places.
When you have money, you can help the poor. You can do whatever charity you want to help the people in need.
When you have money, you can multiply your wealth.  You can invest in stock markets, or build more businesses to help the unemployed and to help the economy.

Of course, you need money to fulfill your dream. But now I don't believe that dreams are equivalent to money anymore because life can give you so much more than what money can't give :) Well don't ask me whats my dream but I know the basic to even have a dream, is to fully utilize my gifts and talent to discover my life purpose.

Have fun, dreaming!
 :)
